David Kirk (Washington, DC) is the founder and CEO of Fora, a cohesive community engagement software that harmonizes organizations’ online presence and real world activities with the purpose of building active and sustainable communities.  He is also the co-Founder of Applyifi.com, a platform to connect startup entrepreneurs and investors in India.  Prior to founding Applyifi and Fora, David conceptualized, created and served as executive producer of a reality television show in India and Pakistan that featuring young entrepreneurs.

From 2009-2014, David served as the Program Director for the Young Atlanticist program at the Atlantic Council.  In that role he raised over $3.5 million in seed funding from government, foundation, corporate, and individual donors, and launched large scale initiatives with strategic partners including the US State Department, the European Union, NATO, the Robert Bosch Stiftung, the Allianz Foundation of North America, and many others.  

Prior to joining the Council David worked as Communications Director on five political campaigns, including the 2008 Presidential Inaugural Committee.  

David holds a MA in International Studies and Diplomacy from the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies and a BA from Franklin University in Lugano, Switzerland.
